61-Story Apartment Tower At 1111 Brickell Bay Drive Gets City Approval

Miami’s Planning & Zoning Department has approved Aimco’s plan to build a 61-story apartment project.

Approval was granted on May 16, about a year after the application was first submitted.

The project will include construction of a new 751-foot residential tower with 572 apartments, along with a new parking garage and retail.

The existing 32-story Yacht Club At Brickell will also be refurbished.

If an approval passes in a market-less void, does it really get built?

I love how they conveniently photoshop out Panorama Tower right next door in the renderings.

Gorgeous project, though unfortunately it may not break ground for a few years

It probably wouldn’t take too long to see ground breaking on this because this is an apartment tower.
