Billionaire Phillip Frost Says Human Role In Climate Change May Be Exaggerated

One of Miami’s wealthiest men is questioning whether humans are the main cause of climate change.

Phillip Frost told WLRN that climate change has become “almost a religious issue,” with any public question of the role of man deemed “heresy.”

Climate change does exist, he said, but the climate has been changing since before there were humans.

Frost lives on Biscayne Bay, just a few feet above sea level on Star Island.

I recent years, Frost’s fellow billionaires have been buying up properties directly on Miami’s coastline, including 22 units at the recently opened Porsche Design Tower alone.

There are currently only about 2,000 billionaires living on the planet, according to Forbes.

I was shocked by his comment too at first but if you actually read the entire interview he primarily says that the issue of climate change has become overly political, and that he prefers to view it from a more scientific standpoint.
He wants scientists to better qualify the the extent that humans and pollution have had on the environment.
While maybe you wouldn’t agree with him his point about it being made overly political seems to definitely have ground given all the headlines you see that basically ignore the fact that he wants more scientific research and energy focused on Climate change (which in my book is a good thing)

He could educate himself by going to the frost planetarium and watching the 45 minute show on planet earth. The irony.

As long as he keeps donating his million to the University of Miami.. he can keep thinking that way.. tough to teach an old dog new tricks.

His specialty is pharmaceuticals not meteorology so its not like his opinion matters to anything. The only issue would be if he used his influence to prevent the Frost Science Museum from having any climate change exhibits.

He did have a say in there not being a climate change exhibit from my understanding. Although I attended the first lecture held in the new Planetarium regarding coral growth and there was quite a bit of talk on climate change in a room full of scientists.

Well there’s not much in terms of science exhibits currently…

Taxpayers are obligated to pay over $800 million for the Miami Science Museum. Philip Frost bought the naming rights for several mil. When will Frost donate a proper endowment?

What’s wrong with worshipping the land we live on? Better than worshipping fictitious characters…
