‘Futuristic’ Diagrid Office Tower At Worldcenter Will Be Built Above Residential Podium

Worldcenter’s newly announced office tower could be built above a 12-story podium of residential and retail space, according to architect Pickard Chilton’s website:

110 10th has been designed to serve as a highly visible gateway to the Miami Worldcenter development. The mixed-use 45-story tower includes approximately 12 floors of multifamily residential units atop a podium with high-street retail space and an integral parking garage. Part of the podium will feature a soccer field that doubles as a green roof. The top of the elegantly-proportioned tower will feature 14 floors of Class A office space that will offer spectacular views of Miami and the waterfront.

The design for 110 10th is respectful of and seamlessly integrated into the overall Miami Worldcenter development. It is expected to significantly contribute to the diversity and excitement of the burgeoning dynamic urban core.

The 45-story project will include 944,000 gross square feet.

Stantec is the architect of record.

Construction will begin in the second quarter of 2018, with occupancy in late 2020 or early 2021.

Guys, this will be the most avant garde building after 1000 Museum.
It will look gorgeous!!!!
Great architecture. Very futuristic and befitting to the area. It will complement all the stuff going on in the area. I think we are on our way to make the CBD again the center of it all.

I wonder if he took a page out of Ten Museum and One Thousand Museum in regards to the exoskeleton superstructure. This seems as it would replicate that.

I like all this “bold” new construction going on and the projects that are planned and getting ready to start. when the Superbowl comes to town and all the networks cameras get to rolling, Miami should be ready to dazzle!

45 stories total. 12 – residential, on the bottom. 14 – offices, on top. What’s in between 19 floors?

Love the vertical plazas, especially on the rooftop!

Are they attempting their own take on BCC’s Climate Ribbon? The 3rd image shows something similar to it connecting the building to MWC…

I don’t know if they’re imitating BCC peej, but if they are, this is one of those times where being a copycat is a good thing!

Love the building and the design but the renderings are not drawn to scale. According to this article this building will have 45 stories, 1000 Museum will have 62, looking at the last photo you would think they are almost the same height. Nevertheless, if it does get build it will be a magnificent addition to the area.

Residential and office floors aren’t always the same regarding height, southeast financial center is 55 floors but 764ft

1000 Museum is about 700′; 45 stories for 110 10th, should come in around 500′-600′

It’s just the prospective, nothing much wrong with the rendering.

Now this is such a beautiful tower in itself that honestly, if it were the only thing built from World Center, it would’ve been a pleasure and an excellent addition. Build this one for sure! One more step to make Miami more like Gotham City!

Gotham city?? wtf?.lol. I have never seen Gotham city displayed with sunshine or colorful architecture.

Miami is not Gotham. The closest comparison is Singapore, hot, humid, and a bridge to a developing backyard.
