Melo Group Widens Riverwalk At Flagler On The River, Commission Approves

Developer Melo Group has redesigned the Flagler On The River project with a 14-foot riverwalk, according to The Real Deal.

City officials had threatened to halt construction after it was found that the developer had been building a riverwalk that was 2 feet narrower than approved.

At a meeting of the Miami River Commission this week, the developer’s architect presented new plans that moved an electrical room, allowing for a wider walkway. The commission approved the plans.

Two restaurants, Sushi Samba and Duck & Waffle, will be tenants in the complex.

Isn’t Flagler on the River already built?

This is right across the street on the river side. Glad they will complete this project sooner rather than later.

This building looks nothing like the rendering. I don’t understand why developers drop the ball like this. It’s not that hard to design cost effective structures from the beginning. Why do this bait and switch on the approval/design… construction plans…. process?
