Midtown 5’s First Residents Move In January, Prices Around $3 PSF

Leasing is underway at the Midtown 5, a new 400-unit rental tower that is nearing completion.

The first residents will move in at the beginning of January, according to the leasing office.

A ground floor restaurant is also in the plans. This week, plans were submitted to build out a 3,498 square foot restaurant at a cost estimated to be $420,000.

The building website lists floor plans and pricing, which appears to be around the $3 per square foot mark.

Magellan Development Group is the developer, and is also working on plans for two similar towers on adjacent property.

I think these prices are ridiculous. You can find cheaper rent in Brickell, which has more amenities. Also who are the people spending that much money on rent with so many other units already on the market for lease?

Too bad the design of the tower is a tad boring.

I think it’s a fine design, especially considering it’s a rental. Cool curves, gobs of glass
