Missoni Baia Approved By Miami’s Zoning Department (Updated)

Miami’s Office of Zoning has approved plans for the Missoni Baia condo tower at 777 NE 26th Street in Edgewater.

The project required waivers from the Miami 21 zoning code. A decision to approve the project with conditions was made on December 7

Missoni Baia will include 146 units in a 646-foot tower, with prices starting at $1.7 million.

“Starting at $1.7 Million in Edgewater” If someone had told me this would happen when I first moved there in the late ’90’s, I would have said you were crazy! Lol, great to see my old neighborhood is growing up.

Is street-fronting parking against Miami21? If so, good, but this means all these places including Brickell Heights and City Centre etc are getting waivers if they just slap some murals or panes of glass over it. This shouldn’t be allowed. As nice as some of the mural work is, the street-level experience of these new buildings is still massive flat hard walls. At least when you look up at parts of Axis on SE 1st Av you see fake balconies. I only ever noticed the cars parked behind them from the Metrorail.
