Piling work is underway on 100 Las Olas, which is set to become the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale.
The project will be split between hotel space and residential units, with 228 hotel rooms, 120 residential units, 507 parking spaces, and a ground floor restaurant.
Developer Kolter Group has previously built hotels with the Westin and Hyatt flags.
Last year, Kolter said they were in negotiations for a hotel flag, but no announcement has been made yet. The residential units haven’t been offered for sale either.
The structure will top out at 495 feet above ground – taller than the under-construction Icon Las Olas, which will take second place at 455 feet.
