100 Las Olas Under Construction, Will Become Fort Lauderdale’s Tallest

Construction is officially underway at 100 Las Olas, which will become the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale.

The project includes a 253 room Hyatt Centric hotel on the lower levels, along with 121 condo units. Prices on the residential units range from  $800,000 to over $2 million.

When completed, the building will top off at 46 stories, or 499 feet.

Kolter is the developer. SB Architects is the architect.

The architects did a great job on this. South Florida towers are increasingly more boring. Happy to see something new and refreshing coming to Ft. Lauderdale!

They should’ve added that extra 1 ft to make it a 500 ft tower. Dick move… lol

No a dick move would be another developer building a 500 ft tower, and you people sperging over pinnacle versus roof height.

This building seems focused on west facing views. The east views will see the ocean from certain heights and the façade on this side is sort of mundane.

it’s not Miami and height isn’t everything. It looker nicer than every Arquitectonica box in Miami.

“Height isn’t everything” and yet the whole point in the marketing materials above clearly state “Tallest Building in Fort Lauderdale”. Also It doesn’t “looker nicer”

It is the tallest under construction so what’s your point?

FAA really sucks meanwhile NY can build what they want even though a few planes have flown into seem.

Surprised developers did not request a variance to exceed 500 feet because you know that’s coming in the future.
