1000-Foot Mixed-Use Building Planned In Brickell

A filing with the Federal Aviation Administration reveals that yet another supertall tower is under planning in Brickell.

The filing was received by the agency on January 28.

The structure will be a multi-purpose building, the application states.

For now, the building name is listed in the filing as Brickell Mixed Use.

Coordinates submitted with the filing show it will be built on a property adjacent to I-95. A portion of it is currently used for soccer.

The property last sold in 2013. A sign was on the property last year advertising it for sale.

The land is for sale it’s just a marketing tactic to show what’s possible most likely.

Yeah, I agree. It’s so they can advertise the land as approved for a supertall. Marketing only.

Please build this. We need supertalls away from the water too or else the Miami skyline will look silly

More like we need supertalls on the water and between it and I-95.

Please? you said ‘please’? WTF? No idea where you’re held up in your mom’s house since there are no basements in South FL, but…

SOMEONE will build this. Not YOU. No PLEASE needed.

Nothing yet… more like a “look, this is what could happen on this land if you buy it!” But I hope that’s what will happen nonetheless!!

It would look awesome next to I95

It would be nice if Miami allowed for a 1000’ tall tower I’m on that location. I was getting tired of all the supertalls being located east of Miami Ave!

“…getting tired of all the supertalls”,
ridiculous when there are none yet.

José Martí Park needs a major upgrade with better surfacing and artwork. The baseball field is full of fire ant piles and garbage netting, causing people to get bitten and trip. Sand volleyball courts would be a great addition. With Brickell’s wealth and donors, shouldn’t its parks be top-notch?

Maybe The River District development will facilitate its renovations. Also, gentrification of East Little Havana/Riverside that doesn’t involve destroying its historic building stock and upzoning where infrastructure can’t handle it.

This would be a westernmost supertall, and it’s on the higher ground of the brickell rock ridge so it would likely be 980 to 1030′ AGL at most, not 1,046′ AGL like Waldorf.

No flooding, elevated for a sustainable future, and excellent access to all forms of transportation—uniquely situated for the entire region.

This is going to be one of the most iconic towers in Miami right at the entrance to Brickell!

Any redevelopment needs to include the entire block.

FAA won’t allow a building that high in that location. Would need to be closer to Brickell Ave. and Biscayne Bay in order for it to reach a height of 1000 feet.

Who the fuck wants to live or stay near that shitty intersection of on/off ramps with highway roaring right below you, spewing up exhaust and won’t tire tread dust?
