Just days apart, two properties on the same SW 8th Street intersection in Brickell were sold, in separate transactions and to separate buyers.
In the first transaction on May 15th, a 26,600 square foot property currently housing a Wendy’s restaurant was sold for $10.5 million. The buyer is Brickell City Rentals, managed by Juan Cachoua. An 89-unit senior housing apartment building called Vista Grande was recently completed next door.
The second property sold at the intersection was a Citgo gas station. The 23,966 square foot property was sold to Millenium Developments Of Brickell, LLC for $9.25 million on May 30th. The station sits next door to West Brickell View, a 64-unit senior housing project built by the same developer as Vista Grande. A 98-unit project called City Heights was also recently completed across the street. Petroleum contamination has been reported at the station.
