Love that they are building up the entrance to Wynwood with Quality projects. Wynwood is becoming my favorite part of the city!

Metromover is planned to run north on N. Miami Ave with a possible stop in Wynwood. If that happens, living there would be a plus.

There is a $250k study going on to determine when a new $1M study to which one will be more cost-effective, the Metrorail, The Metromover, or Venetian Gondolas.

I see your joke, but I think that Metromover should go up to Wynwood, and Metrorail from Overtown up to Aventura mall, along Biscayne, I 95 or the FEC tracks.

We already have the FEC tracks for commuter rail, with stations planned. Metrorail should be extended east-west from Miami Beach to FIU and Doral.

Metromover should go all around the core and metrorail to the outer boroughs. Done.

PRIVATE commuter rail, with rates that are unaffordable to most blue collar workers. A city’s public transportation system should not be run for profit.

No, they are planning on running a light rail train on the existing train tracks with a stop on 29th st.

Not light rail. The existing FEC tracks are slated for commuter rail (hopefully Tri-Rail) as part of the County’s Northeast Corridor plan. It will eventually connect to Broward and Palm Beach. You are correct that the planned Wynwood Stop is 29th St. There is also a study to extend Metromover from the School Board station up to Wynwood/Design District.

Commuter rail can be considered light rail

I’ve seen a map where Metromover is planned to stop at 40th Street in the Design District.

Planned, no. A study after study, yes.

That would be great but that’s hardly feasible to run the Metromover along Miami Ave considering how narrow it is from the sidewalks. The better plan would have been Metrorail along the now Brightline tracks to get a few stations in Wynwood/Midtown area.

Another giant parking garage. 200,000 square feet dedicated to storing cars!

There is no reasonably distanced mass transit near here besides bus. I’m surprised they got a transit waiver for parking reduction.

Anonymous

They got it because Metromover will probably have a stop just steps away on N Miami Ave.

This actually looks pretty good. You can’t even see the parking garage

Nice to see Arquitectonica actually using symmetry and breaking up the massing for once.

I love the exposed steel beams. Adds a lot of character. Beautiful building!

We need more ads! I’ll draw the line at a live video pop-up screen. I bet it’s in the planning phase right now. The huge banner popping up on the bottom annoying, I’ll click it so you can get your click count.

I just saw a video, I’m outta here, this website page is littered with ads, you can’t even see the actual webpage anymore. You’re going to start hurting your readership.

If WE NEED la Metromilover extension in order for their to be economic development.

And the facts and evidence point to economic development WITHOUT the billions of capital expenditures…

Do WE
Really NEED

Individuals are investing already.

Should WE require my elderly Father-in-law to pay more taxes because the WE NEEDS are too cool to take any of the dozen buses already serving the area?

I wonder if this design and the rest of ‘make believe industrial’ looking buildings are going to still look interesting in 20 years. I feel they are a bit ‘Disney’ looking.

“a non-integrated add-on”?!?! What does that mean? At what point do people get to do things their own way with their own property?

Anonymous

touchy touchy ! at any point people can do what they want with their own property, doesn’t mean everyone else has to like it. If the developer loves the big box sticking out like a sore thumb at the top corner (i.e., not integrated into the overall design), knock themselves out.
