250 Wynwood To Mark Groundbreaking With Celebration

The 11-unit 250 Wynwood has gone vertical, and the developer is celebrating  next week:

Fortis Development Group is pleased to announce the commencement of construction
of the first new condominium project in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District since 2005. 250
WYNWOOD is an art-infused, mixed-use condominium project, consisting of 11
residential suites and 2 ground floor retail units. Located at 250 NW 24th Street, this 6
story jewel box, designed by New York City-based architect Laith Sayigh of DFA (formerly
of Foster + Partners, SOM, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro) fuses the spirit of Wynwood’s
famous art-encased warehouses with modern open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling
windows, and massive balconies. Local gallerist Anthony Spinello of Spinello Projects
has assembled 5 cutting-edge fine artists to design the undersides of the balconies of
each unit, which will create a Wynwood-style outdoor gallery of contemporary art on 5
different floors.
For lovers of Wynwood, this is the first-ever chance to buy a new residential
condominium within half a block of Panther Coffee and the Wynwood Walls. It is also
the start of a new wave of sustainably-built, creatively-designed boutique residences in
Wynwood, Miami’s most dynamic and creative neighborhood, from Fortis Development
Group.
A groundbreaking celebration is planned for Tuesday, Sept 16th, from 5:30 – 6:00 PM at
the construction site. Project completion is expected in July, 2015.
