30-Story Tower Proposed In North Bay Village, Designed By Arquitectonica

A proposal to build a 30-story tower is set for review today in North Bay Village.

The property is located at 1755 79th Street Causeway, and is owned by LGE NBV LLC. It is listed on the website of B Developments.

The project is proposed to include:

  • 201 residential units
  • 52,818 square feet of office
  • 19,545 square feet of restaurant
  • 1,860 square foot coffee/juice bar
  • 408 parking spaces

The roof of the tower is proposed at 345 feet above ground.

Eleven of the units would be rented as workforce housing in order to obtain a zoning density bonus.

North Bay Village’s Planning and Zoning Board is scheduled to review the proposal at a meeting today.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

Aside from my other comment, this is a very elegant project. Props to Arquitectonica for developing a nice residential project in this area.

That should be a nice addition to the North Bay Village landscape. I assume the future Publix will be in the retail level?

Same old, at least they are moving out of the core. Stay away architectonica and take carollo and Melo with you.

What do you have against Melo? You’re jealous that they can build projects much faster than Mana could?

agree with Carollo though

Nothing against Melo, but im against too much of the same, and he is repetitive, just like architectonica and carollo.

Building a 30 story structure in sinking man-made island like NBV with no bedrock is ludicrous. Why not 15 stories. Doesn’t the zoning commission think of the safety of its residents first not just the money they will make.

Is the at all related to the plans to tear down the best western where Shucker’s is? Seems like this new building will be built where the parking lot is for the BW and Shucker’s

No, it’s across the street by East Treasure Dr where Pizza Delight and Happy Stork Lounge are located. That’s what is being torn down.
