A developer wants to build a seven-story hotel on Washington Avenue.
Washington Squared Owner, LLC is proposing to build a Z-shaped hotel with 312 micro-sized hotel rooms. It becomes the second hotel proposed recently on Washington Avenue with extra small units, taking advantage of new zoning rules for the area.
Historic structures on the ground floor would be renovated and remain as retail space. A third-floor outdoor recreation deck would sit above a parking garage on the second level.
Morris Adjmi Architects, NBWW and Raymond Jungles are among those designing the project. The city’s Planning Board will review the plans next month.
