36-Story 2000 Biscayne Tower At Top Off

The apartment tower being built at 2000 Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater is at or near top-off, a new photo shows.

The planned top-off height for 2000 Biscayne is 36 stories, or 408 feet above ground.

The tower will include 393 rental apartments, 455 parking spaces, and 4,569 square feet of retail.

Kushner Companies is the developer.

Wish we could avoid more renters, but happy to have more activity in the area!

Why avoid renters when we have a housing crisis. We need to limit airbnb but build more apartments and condo to regulate the housing market

limit abnb, more density near mass transit, more affordable and workplace units, and less parking requirements – Miami has immense upside

Fixe mass transportation first and NOW then build. Too many cars.

If “we” limit Airbnb, should “we” deny private property owners their rights to develop Marriotts?

Think.

What is the difference between a building with 300 Marriott/Hyatt/IHG/etc units or a building with 300 units that COULD POSSIBLY be used for short term rental.

Difference is, the building which ALLOWS for short term rentals has many individuals with the freedom and liberty to chose whether they live full-time, or part-time, or not at all.

We need to focus on condos, yes, but apartments bring transient residents that don’t care about their buildings/neighborhoods. I have lived in both types of buildings in Miami and the difference is stark. More owners, and less renters, will make our community stronger.

Not when it’s not affordable then they become empty real estate investments and not helping the housing crisis

All inventory will help with the housing “crisis.” If by affordable housing you mean the government giving handouts to people in the form of setting rent ceilings, we don’t want it. If people can’t afford to live in Edgewater, they will find other areas.
