36-Story Edgewater Tower With 322 Residential Units Gets Planning Approval

A proposed 36-story tower in Edgewater has been approved by Miami’s Planning Department.

Approval for the tower was issued on March 5. The project was reviewed by the Urban Developmen t Review Board in October 2020.

No construction permits to begin building the tower have been filed yet.

The tower is now approved to include:

  • 322 residential units
  • 372 parking spaces
  • 6,183 square feet of retail

An application with the FAA was filed last November for a building height of 430 feet above ground, or 433 feet above sea level.

Meridian TC Real Estate Group LLC, and affiliate of Grupo T&C, is the developer.

Kobi Karp is the architect.

They all do that, look at Paramount, it completely covers Marina Blue in every picture as if it’s waterfront.

Interesting that only two lines — the 3 br’s — have balconies. Could this be the start of a new trend?

Those lots have been there for decades, they need to be built on already.

This will be a really nice area once all four empty lots are developed.

I have a theory. The orange 4 sorry low rise should be a great addition to the parcel but probably asking for too much money. This project will commence one that plot of land is decided.

Not bad at all. It’s like Melo building one of their very decent towers sent the impression to at least make something with curves and to align your windows.

That base is entirely parking? ugh I first thought there was some sort of Times Square-esque signage on the base. But I see it is a sort of mural .Those palms on the roof are going to end up on the airport tarmac next hurricane.

This project is a joke and is going to fail. Who wants to invest $ in apartments with absolutely NO view, in the back rear of other first line buildings?? (Quantum / 1800 C / Aria)

like it, they should split that retail to some office. I am sure with hybrid remote work that some people would like to work outside of their home but nearby.
