39-Story Downtown Miami Tower Now Rising

A 39-story tower under construction in downtown Miami is now several floors out of the ground, new photos show.

The project is known as District 225 and will include:

  • 343 residential condo units, allowing short term rental
  • 1,673 square feet of retail
  • no parking garage

Developers have previously said that the units have been 100% pre-sold.

Related Group, ROVR Development and BH Group are the developers.

Sieger Suarez is the architect.

Love the large alley/courtyard in the rendering on the north side of the building, if only it was actually there and not a giant parking garage.

Sorry, the “alley/courtyard” it’s on the south side. The front of the tower in the rendering is facing west.

Love to see this part of the CBD developed! good to see that the city’s most iconic part of the skyline won’t be surrounded by parking lots. Worldcenter is going to be the city’s most impactful redevelopments of the next 10 years.

Agree, nice to see new stuff being built by the iconic Miami Brickell skyline.

Looks like a basic office tower from the 90s, nothing special.

Except we’ve come to the point that a basic office tower from the 90s looks better than any “iconic,” “game changer,” or “meticulously designed” box pushed through the UDRB.

Time for MDC to sell the property on this block and start consolidating their sprawling, nonsensical real estate holdings downtown.

So you would rather have high rises with no parking instead of a college for students? really smart!

This is such an elegant tower.

Ooooooh, 39 stories.
If it’s not going to be at least 60 floors, don’t build it.
What are we, Fort Lauderdale?

At least Fort Lauderdale is getting frequent proposals for the new tallest than aren’t stacked baby blocks or mystery towers.

No parking garage means more traffic as residents look for parking.

Stop driving to downtown.

underwhelming name, underwhelming design. really miss the older days when miami wasn’t overrun by new york developers trying to york-ify tropical miami.

This is by related group… not a NY developer

Which is ironic, considering most Related’s projects in more prominent locations have boorish cookie cutter Arquitectonica designs.

Related is doing an excellent job with the new Brickell school. It’s going up so fast and has a beautiful design 🏆
