48-Story Midtown Miami Tower Gets Utilities

Developers planning the Midtown 1 tower have signed a deal to connect the new building to Miami-Dade’s water and sewer system.

The deal was recorded in county records on June 28.

According to the agreement, Midtown 1 will include:

  • 329 residential units
  • 16,457 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 11,280 square feet of retail
  • 498 parking spaces on five levels (per a UDRB filing, not a part of the utilities deal)

David Martin signed the agreement on behalf of developer Midtown One Investments, LLC.

In May, Miami’s Urban Development Review Board voted unanimously to recommend approval of the tower, with the following conditions:

  • Incorporate transparent glazing around the northeast corner on the ground floor to emphasize and extend the retail use.
  • Substitute shade trees in place of palms wherever possible.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

Midtown 1 Investments, led by Terra and Lion Development Group, is the developer.
