55-Story Edgewater Tower Gets Water & Sewer Utilities For 100 Units

The developers of the 55-story tower planned in Edgewater have signed a utilities deal.

The project is alternately referred to as 710 Edge or 729 Edge.

According to the newly signed utilities deal, it will include 100 residential units and 31,418 square feet of retail.

The unit count is higher than previously planned. A filing with the UDRB last year said the project would have 70 units.

710 Edge is planned to top off at 55-stories – 646 feet above ground, or 649 feet above sea level, according to last year’s UDRB filing.

The project is also planned to include a rooftop helipad and public baywalk.

this is a very elegant building….a nice change from typical square box…will add to edgewater skyline nicely… a light feature would be great!

It was already downgraded, albeit still attractive.

Great addition to the skyline! This area needs more ground retail. To increase and create more inviting street level experience.

Sort of hard when two thirds of Edgewater’s blocks are parking garages and loading bays.

That means there are many more people living in the neighborhood. Like Azarius said, “this area needs more ground retail to increase and create more inviting street level experience.”

Hahahahah. Even the parking garage is the same as the 1000 museum. They can’t be serious.

It is an elegant building. My question is why do they have to practically copy a building that already exists? This project looks like the bastard brother of miami 1000 museum from studio Zaha Hadid.
There are plenty of good architects that can do a great job in this city: Peter Eisenman, Daniel Libeskind, Christian de Portzamparc, morphosis, Peter Cook, Frank Gehry, and Norman Foster among others.
We should continue to bring that kind of talent to this city. This will make a difference in our skyline.
We need more architects with vision.

You don’t “genuinely understand” how to write a proper sentence in English either.
