Construction is now underway at 6080 Collins Avenue, where Starbucks has signed on to open.
6080 COLLINS AVENUE BEACH HOUSE BREAKS GROUND WITH 65 PERCENT SOLD
Starbucks has signed an agreement with the developers to open on the ground floor of the hotel residence
Miami Beach, FL—6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, a new $30 million, full-service hotel residence, will break ground Monday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. Developed on one of the last parcels of vacant land in Mid Beach, the six-story boutique development has 70 large studios and one-bedroom suites. A Streamline Moderne exterior is complemented by stylish turnkey interiors. With access to the Atlantic Ocean and Beach, units start at a competitive $267,100. Well-traveled buyers from Europe, Latin America and the U.S. have already purchased 65 percent.
“The price is inexpensive and available to people who want a second home,” says Pablo Hoberman, one of the hotel residence’s three Argentine developers and architects, a joint venture between Urbis Real Estate and Domus Group. “They can either use the unit all year, or for just one month a year, then during the remaining 11 months we manage the residence so the buyer makes money on rentals. Buying a new property in Miami Beach that makes money instead of costing money is very appealing.”
In addition to the affordable price point, prime location and international resort lifestyle offered, 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House is located at the end of Miami Beach where North Beach begins. The hotel residence is across from the new Cabana Hilton at the southern border of North Beach and next to the soon to reopen, vintage Monticello.
The neighborhood is undergoing a dramatic transformation with charming historic properties being restored and new hotels rising on and around the beach. The buildings are being created by savvy developers who take care of the environment and keep the evolving neighborhood in top shape as it becomes the next hot area, a destination chock-a-block with tourists.
According to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Miami-Dade hotels sold more rooms in January and February than the same period last year, rising a tenth of a percent from 2,516,966 rooms sold to 2,520,639. Average daily occupancy also scored high, a whopping second in the U.S.
Opening a Starbucks on the ground floor of 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House is also important for tourism. Since this will be the only Starbucks located on either side of Collins Avenue for a couple of miles—the closest is Alton and 41 St. on the south, and Bal Harbour on the north—the addition of the popular coffeehouse is a boost for everyone in the area.
“Representatives of Miami Beach are happy about the Starbucks collaboration,” says Hoberman. “Not only will our buyers and hotels guests enjoy the coffee and healthy food offered, Starbucks plans to open on the street for walkers, tourists and residents of neighboring buildings.”
The residences at 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, designed by Chisholm Architects and executed by Charles H. Benson Associates, have a modern, 1960s style design. The interiors are bright with lots of natural light from high impact windows that open to deep private terraces. Three ground level residences have private gardens with as much as 39 linear feet from sliding door to hedge.
All units offer iPods, apps for concierge and valet parking, super-fast Wi-Fi, housekeeping, curated designer furnishings, high quality finishes and upscale appliances. Building amenities include a rooftop pool, gym, water wall and lobby entrance. The rooms and lobby will be highlighted with original works created by local artists through a contest collaboration with Miami’s Bakehouse Art Complex.
“There is nothing else at such an attractive and affordable price point,” says project Sales Director Ann Nortmann of the Sandberg Nortmann Group at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, South Florida’s premier luxury real estate team. “This is a perfect opportunity to own a pied-à-terre in Miami Beach. Not only does each turnkey residence come with custom modern furniture and finishes, but buyers can take advantage of the property’s hassle-free, revenue-producing rental program immediately.”
6080 Collins Avenue Beach House will be the newest addition to the Eskape COLLECTION—apartments+hotels, a dynamic lifestyle hospitality company that provides residents and guests with an effortless living experience. Partners Hoberman, Alex Rakover and Flavio Rossato specialize in managing boutique properties, including 1215 West Avenue and 1818 Meridian House, among others.
6080 Collins Avenue Beach House is slated for top-off December 2016 with completion by summer of 2017.
