62-Story Aria Reserve North Tower Making ‘Rapid Progress’

In Edgewater, the under-construction North Tower at Aria Reserve passed level 20 last week, according to developer Melo Group.

Completion of the 383-unit South Tower at Aria Reserve is also expected soon.

Aria Reserve will include two 62-story condo towers, said to be the tallest waterfront dual residential towers in the United States.

A foundation pour for the South Tower took place in early 2023, while the North Tower foundation pour took place in Summer 2024.

The South Tower topped off in 2024, and projected completion is Q1 2025.

The North Tower is expected to reach completion in Q1 2026.

I hope it will have some light features. When we look at downtown and Brickell the city looks very vibrant but when we look at the skyline in Edgewater looks a bit dead. If more buildings had lights features it would help.

Another thing that would help would be illuminating all bridges. The McArthur is got some purpe lights under it that make it really nice, they should do the same on the Venetian and the Julia Tuttle’s causeways!

Look at NYC bridges all very nicely illuminated, I agree that if we did the same our skyline would certainly be more iconic.

we have the lights….but they are never maintained and seemingly have been burnt out under mcarthur for nearly 3 years now…..as usual

Additional light pollution isn’t needed. There would be plenty of light if these were occupied towers where people lived full time.

Imagine buildings being so mundane that you need LIGHTS!

Light Up Miami ! – there used to be a guy who championed this. Maybe someone will step forward again

these towers have a very basic design but they are an improvement to the edgewater skyline that has so many white stucco boxes on prime location

We need more iconic buildings along the entire skyline!! I like these though.

The facade facing the city on the completed tower is egregious, worse than Icon Bay and any Parasio, hopefully Arquitectonica does better on their next slab tower; but we already know the backside of Baccarat is going to be a whole new level of atrocity.

Yeah the west-facing sides actually look ridiculous.

Maybe they know that another building will come up right behind it so it’s not worth making the back stunning

They get away with too much. Also the podium is just a big concrete box taking up an entire block!

Baccarat and Viceroy is a big eye-sore disappointment – We really need to blame the city for allowing Miami to become not-unlike a soviet era city of a faceless and souless apartment blocs

Huge wide wall divided by two with a small space in between to make it more palatable to the eye…

Too much massing. I’m surprised they allowed this design. But then again its Melo and are buddies with all the city leaders

If they tapered up and changed the facade a bit, it would more sophisticated

800 units, 800 cars? Ubers ? food delivery ? traffic will be horrendous….

Did they tweak the original design? It’s looking way more square-ish than I remember! And wow, one tower’s already done? That went up in no time!
