64-Story 1 Southside Park Obtains $43 Million Financing, Will Be 100% Rental Apartments

Brickell’s 64-story 1 Southside Park has been granted a $43 million loan for acquisition and construction, according to a January 26 press release.

“1 Southside Park’s thoughtful, dynamic design serves as an exemplar for how we can design and develop in dense urban centers, with the community fabric in mind,” said Michael Stern, Founder and CEO of JDS Development Group, which is building the complex.

The release states that 1 Southside Park will include:

  • 1,175 residential rental units
  • 190,000 square feet of office space
  • 200-key boutique hotel
  • 10,000 square feet of retail space
  • 1,400 parking spaces.

The site is located next to Southside Park, which will be redesigned by James Corner Field Operations as part of the project.

The Underline and Brickell Metrorail and Metromover stations are also adjacent to the property.

Shop Architects is designing the project.

A project like this needs far more than 43 million

If they have the money in their banks then they don’t need to borrow and pay interest later.

Anonymous

Hence the need for 1,400 parking spaces.

Anonymous

Yes.. because the Metrorail and Metromover don’t go nowhere near all the places they should go.

Homeless people is the price you pay living in the city. Don’t believe me?.. go to any big city in this country and tell me you don’t see homeless people.
