The developer of Ocean Drive’s Savoy Hotel is proposing to build a 7-story mixed-use garage at 400 Collins Avenue in order to provide parking for the hotel.
The Collins Avenue project will be known as the Torino Garage. It will also include 24 condominium units and ground floor retail or restaurant space.
The garage exterior will be clad with a perforated aluminum mesh and glass mosaic wall.
In total, there will be 113 parking spaces, including 76 spaces below-grade. The underground garage will be robotic.
Allan Shulman is the architect. The company developing the garage is controlled by Eric Hadar of New York.
Miami Beach’s Historic Preservation Board must approve the project, and will review the plans next week.
