Activity At Site Where 41-Story Hub Miami Planned

There’s action at the site where the 41-story Hub Miami tower is planned, a few months after a demolition permit was reissued.

A partially built shell of a building is being demolished to make way for the new tower. Contractor signage has been installed, while new equipment and material has been delivered to the site.

The total demolition permit was reissued in February, while a permit for temporary toilets was issued in April.

Hub Miami is planned to include 306 condos and 245,000 square feet of Class A office space. Construction permit applications to build the new tower have been submitted.

The permit for construction of the new tower is currently awaiting corrections from the applicant, according to Miami’s Building Department.

When people were talking about a recession in 2022 I kept saying Miami and Vegas and Austin stopped multi hundred million projects in mid build in the last sec recessions…if major projects are halted in fast growing cities then I will believe we are about to have a recession.

What project did Vegas stop?

I believe Miami is insulated from recessions. It’s a major global city and still undervalued in my opinion.

The mid-2000s Logik, and Krystal Tower proposals were much better looking. Even if built today, architecturally they would still look great. This proposed box with diagonal lines is boorish now, and will age badly.
