Amended Notice Of Commencement Filed For Miami Worldcenter Retail

Miami Worldcenter filed two amended Notice of Commencements this month with the county.

The first states that the total design, construction and development of approximately 56,000 square feet of retail is underway at a portion of the development known as Tract D East, with MWC Retail LLC the developer.

A second amended Notice of Commencement states that work is underway on a 478,000 square foot garage, with 1,104 parking spaces. MWC Garage LLC is the developer.

The NCOs being amended were first filed in January 2018. The amount of retail space and parking count has not changed.

The filings only cover the Tract D East parcel. Worldcenter has significant amounts of retail under construction elsewhere, including the adjacent land where Paramount is being built.

Yup, they’ve eliminated all the street parking. So unless you take rail and metromover, you are forced to park in the garage for whatever rates they choose.

We already got a Silverspot cinema in downtown which is 10000x better than any movie theatre in Miami for the price.

We already have a cinema this side of the river, so it’s unlikely, and D&B is a little too prole for the development.

Confused, isn’t Block D east where the current Parking garage and retail are? Could this be the parking for the office tower? Seems weird that they would build that instead of people building the office building?
Could it mean the office building could start construction soon too?
