Vladislav Doronin’s Oko Group may be trying to buy out the owners of The Amethyst condo building in Miami Beach.
The Amethyst at 5313 Collins Avenue has 122 units, but prices don’t match the oceanfront location. Recent sales there have all been below $300,000, or around $400 per square foot.
The building also benefits from having a fire station and city surface parking lot to the south, preserving views.
A website called SAVE Amethyst Condominium Miami Beach lists Oko as the potential buyer. It isn’t clear if Oko’s bid was successful.
The Russian developer successfully completed the buyout of a condo building in Brickell recently, which he plans to demolish and replace with a bigger project.
