Another 649 Foot Tower Planned In Edgewater

Developers have filed to build yet another 649 foot tower in Edgewater.

The filing was made with the Federal Aviation Administration on May 17, records show.

According to the filing, the tower will rise 645 feet above ground or 649 feet above sea level, which is the maximum permitted by aviation rules in the area.

The project site is located at the end of 27th Street.

Currently, the property is being used as a sales center for Missoni Baia, among other uses.

The property was formerly owned by the Jesuit Fathers of the Province of the Antilles.

In 2016, OKO Group, the Miami-based development company founded by international real estate developer Vladislav Doronin, along with its partner, Cain International, announced they had purchased the property for $54 million.

OKO and Cain are the developers building Missoni Baia, Una, and 830 Brickell.

Another OKO not mad at that, just know it’s going to be built slow but the quality will be great and the design of the building most of the time isn’t boring

Instead of a parking garage or doggie toilet, the Una sales center in the old mansion between this site and Missoni Baia would be a great historic preservation and adaptive reuse into a five-star restaurant or supper club. If we want baywalk realized, it needs more activating factors.

Edgewater is going to be the next Brickell, except much closer to the beach, Design District, and Wynwood!

And without the Four Seasons, Conrad, JW Marquis, and every major International bank.

So…if you are an International Financier, you will live close to your office in Brickell.
If you work at the International House of Pancakes you will live close to your office in Edgewater.

You’re suggesting that living in Edgewater is not ‘close’ to Brickell? Lmao It takes me around 10 min to get to Brickell every morning, but I guess if I wanted to work at IHOP, I could be there in 7 min instead?

Yes! We have been so happy after leaving Brickell for Edgewater. It’s much better located than Brickell and lacks all the pretentious assholes and OF girls too.

More Una and less Missoni Baia this time, please.
