Another: Groundbreaking Announced For Second E11EVEN Tower In ‘District 11’

Developers of E11EVEN Residences Beyond have announced that they have broken ground on the 65-story tower.

PMG and E11EVEN Partners said in a press release that they have secured a $262 million construction loan.

Over 80 percent of the building has been sold, the release said.

The area is now being referred to by the developers as District 11.

Two 65-story towers are now under construction. The first tower, called E11EVEN Hotel & Residences, recently had its first tower crane installed.

Madison Realty Capital provided the loan for E11EVEN Residences Beyond, and the transaction was brokered by Jones Lang LaSalle.

E11EVEN Partners Marc Roberts, Michael Simkins, and Dennis DeGori and PMG partners Ryan Shear, Kevin Maloney and Dan Kaplan are the developers.

Great news, I have never seen so many cranes grace the Miami skyline in a long time, if ever.

From 2004 to 2008 the sky was littered with them, but ” this time is different” right? Same old boom and bust cycle is ongoing – its never a straight line up.

I don’t think my father, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, would be too pleased to hear about this

Isn’t it Park West? What’s with the District 11?

It’s just a name. Park West is still the name so you can say, I live in Park West at Miami Worldcenter or at District 11.

Years from now, on this very blog, commenters will argue ad nauseam about whether this area is really Park West or District 11, muck akin to the arguments happening on every post ever mentioning the western side of Brickell.

I don’t know or care where it’s at, but it needs a Metromover extension and bike lanes and a coffee shop.

I mean this is a city. Why would we not have bike lanes, coffee shops and alternative modes of transit? You suburban troglodytes need to find a new blog. This one is focused on the development and urbanization of Miami’s urban core.

bike lanes are for SUBURBS…wanna pedal around on a Schwinn waving to your neighbors, move to Kendale Lakes! Bikes are for recreation, they will NEVER supplant car commuting. Get a clue!

Okay, and these two boxes are “iconic” and everything south of the Miami River and west of I-95 to the city line is West Brickell. We get it…
