Another New Tower Revealed: 600 Miami Worldcenter Begins Marketing

Details have just been revealed on yet another tower at Miami Worldcenter.

The project will be known as 600 Miami Worldcenter, according to an email sent to brokers.

Units will be priced from the $400,000 range, with no rental restrictions and fully furnished units, the email says.

Aria Development Group and Merrimac Ventures are listed as the developers, with OneWorld Properties overseeing sales.

A website that does not appear to be affiliated with the developers listed the project as being 32 stories with 579 units. Revuelta is named by the site as the architect.

The overabundance of the condo hotel with no rental restrictions will destroy this area. Compounds housing affordability issues as it does not bring new housing supply onto the market while taking away possibilities in land-finite area. The coming oversupply of this type of product will push down rates, lowering the quality of crowd we attract. I love the direction Miami is headed, but this is the most overlooked aspect in our urban planning at the moment.

The air bnb model destroyed places like Opera in Edgewater, Mondrian in South Beach, etc. This is making entire neighborhoods using that model.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s also hurting the long term viability of small businesses in the area that depend on year round residents

You can’t build s real community feeling like this.

Direct cheap flights from atlanta and baltimore will help the situation.

Opera already went to the dogs when the market crashed in 2008. Short-term rental and Airbnb were insult to injury. Still, it has fared better than Vizcayne or Ten Museum Park.

What happened with Ten Museum Park?

At least you’re not asking for more fillers like those bozos who think everything that’s not within 100 yards from the water should be absolute garbage.

Two years ago, the four block area bounded by 5th street, Miami Avenue, Ne 2nd avenue, and 7th Street had no residents. There are now at least 12 planned or existing towers .
This area will have one of the highest densities in the US in the next 5 years.
The density will be in excess of 100,000 dwellings per square mile. Manhattan has a population of about 1.7 million people in an area of 22 square miles.

World center needs office space

And a Whole Foods, a Trader Joe’s, an Equinox, a Starbucks Reserve and Eataly!

Jared

Don’t see any chances of a WholeFoods happening as there is one literally 5-10 minutes driving or a good 20 minute walk away down by the Aston Martin Building. Publix is more foreseeable certainly, as the next closest is in EdgeWater or Brickell.

anon

It’s not even a 20 minute walk from worldcenter, more like 10

Anonymous

There is a Publix right there already. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are needed as each building brings about 1,000 people and they can’t walk to the other one downtown or the Trader Joe’s in Midtown.

As good as it gets

That should be taller and more iconic! What’s up with these average looking basic buildings?

Anonymous

It’s a filler and it’s right next to Okan tower, which is iconic.

Should have been what Downtown 5th looked like instead of hideous 90-degree edged barcode boxes.

Nice. Looks like a clean glassy residential building. This and the Crosby provide high quality infill next to OKAN

Crosby is shite.

Anonymous

I think it’s nice. It has a high glass ratio and I’m looking forward to more ground level retail. Also, it’s modest height allows Okan to stand out. I think it’s a well considered building.

A new tower, and it already looks dated. Bring something fresh. Please, learn from projects Hudson Yards.
Edgewater has been a disappointment and World Center is moving in the ame direction. Just my opinion.

Anonymous

I agree, but considering this is more of less on the periphery and tight spot, is acceptable. The Crosby and CitizenM on the other hand, being more internal to the development… Total disappointments!

The Crosby and CitizenM are actually decent looking towers.

So many urban planners with degrees on here who think they know what’s right for the area. Smh!
The area in 3 years will be dense.
This project looks identical to The Crosby.
Crazy to think Crosby was selling 2b 2b for $630k earlier this year and this project starts at $780k for 2b2b.

Do people actually LIVE in any of these buildings? Paramount? Coaba? Bezel? Are they all airbnb’s or are there any condos / long terms renters at all?

Anonymous

I live at Paramount as many others do. Same for Caoba and Bezel and Downtown 5th.

anon

Most of Paramount tenants are annual tenants.. Same with Caoba

June

Apparently the developer of Paramount, who bought many units, only allows his units to be rented out on a short-term basis.

This is way uglier than Crosby and has very poor floor plan layouts.

Downtown Vagabond

The lack of restrictions on Airbnb is a huge issue for the area. It’s going to drive up prices artificially and bring riff raff to world center.

Hi Y’all : most comments here focus on short term rentals. Does anyone know if there is a decent demand for long term (minimum 1 year) rental if one invests in a 1BR or Studio ? Or is it all vacation / beach season renters like for airbnb?
