Apple’s ‘Most Sustainable Store’ Opening At Miami Worldcenter With Biophilic Garden

Apple has announced an opening date for a new store at Miami Worldcenter.

The new Apple Store at Miami Worldcenter will open on January 24.

It will be Apple’s “most sustainable store.”

The store will include a biophilic garden using natural materials and a variety of plants.

It will become the tenth Apple Store in Miami. Apple also reportedly signed a lease for around 45,000 square feet of office space in Coral Gables earlier this year.

I walked by this tea last week after probably a couple of years that I’ve been there and wow, it’s looking amazing! I live in Brickell but I’m planning to move here as soon as my lease is up. Huge sidewalks, lots of restaurants and stores coming plus lots of green with the parks by the water. I’m sold!!

I think this will be the new Brickell and Brickell will be more of the financial district whereas this area will be more residential and upscale.

Yan Jammer

Brickell was the financial district in the 70s and 80s and 90s until the 2000s condo boom to present made it residential. If OBCC and Citadel tower works out it will be the financial district again.

Wait, it’s not the financial district anymore?

Anon

I think Brickell will be like Manhattan and downtown will be like Downtown Brooklyn

NYer

Huh? Have you ever been to NY? If anything Brickell would be like the financial district, and Worldcenter will be like Hudson Yards.

Anonymous

Downtown reminds me of Midtown/Time Square or Union Square at 14th Street.

Riverside is more like Hudson Yards with Dream Hotel coming, and instead of abandoned rail yards it’s abandoned boat yards along the river. And to left of Brickell reminds me TriBeCa with its sophisticated quieter vibe next to the business and financial towers.

What..?

Riverside is nothing like Hudson Yards…omg you people are so delusional

Coconut Grove = SoHo

Coconut Grove = Brooklyn Heights / healthy homes and farmer’s markets.

Hudson Yards will be the Miami Herald News site by the bay. MWC will collide with a few areas making it more like Midtown/ Timesquare

Can’t imagine wanting to move away from Brickell……

They’re building a new brickell with Parks, Museums, and Public Space – it looks really nice so far

Anonymous

“a new Brickell…” I’ve never heard of such a thing. Its Park West, Worldcenter, downtown. And all these NY comparisons are so silly, I can’t.

Anonymous

they’re just trolling to try to get park west to break away from brickell, and pitting them against one another, even though they are both essential parts of the MetroMover core area- and nobody is moving from brickell there, if anyting new combers will have more options and tourists will have places near cruises to stay.

I’m a real estate agent and I actually see a lot of movement from Brickell to Park West (Miami Worldcenter).

This IS true, I’ve seen the same.

With mortgage rates high and and transaction volume cooling off, many Realtors are getting priced out of Brickell.

Exactly. What the hell…..
All these comments on an article about a new Apple store?

Dave

Brickell is also building “a new Brickell” and it’s actually IN Brickell lol

Myamiano

I thought the same but now looking at Downtown, especially the Park West area, I’m also tempted to make the move.

Yes, if money was no object and/or you worked there.
But for a lot of people, saving a couple hundred bucks a month makes a difference.

If you have the option, staying in Brickell is ideal. However, if you’re looking for a walkable lifestyle with modern amenities and a strong community feel like Brickell but prefer an alternative, you should also consider nearby areas such as Riverside South at José Martí Park or MetroCenter near the Brightline Station. These neighborhoods offer exciting enhancements, including a kayak launch and improved riverwalk. Additionally, the opening of a 50,000-square-foot Target near the Brightline Station adds convenience to living in Downtown Miami.

Sorian

I think Brickell is more ideal for offices rather than living there. Worldcenter seems a much better option.

anonymous

Hopefully, office towers will be built,

anonymous

It’s opposite, downtown is better for offices, and brickell is better for living.

Yuchen

I think having parks, being by the water, having museums, entertainment venues and lots of transportation option plus better walkability is better for living…. Hence downtown rather than Brickell

Jordan

Brickell is in Downtown.

Perhaps you mean the Central Business District or Park West.

What..?

Metrocenter doesnt even exist yet – what are you even talking about

anonymous

yes it does, its where the new aldis and and target oepned next to brightline, the metrocenter will connect to here, where all the trains meet

People who move don’t post about it, especially when leaving the best place to live in Miami.

19 people like this? Sadly, posts like this don’t help any area thrive, as people can sense when comments are genuine, and when they are not.

This area is looking really, really good. The plaza is nice, with a jungle-like feel to it. The public paseos extending west and north are also very cool and a rarity in car-brained Miami.

A lot more to come here as I believe only 6 of 14 total towers have been built thus far. Going to be exciting to see Okan continue it’s ascent as well as Legacy – both will have a big impact on the Worldcenter area.

My lease at SLS Lux is expiring soon. This week I’m going to check out Miami World Tower but I’m also tempted to check one of those buildings right by the water as I’m sure I get better views and more space.

Pro Tip: Ten Museum, Marina Blue, 900 Biscayne, Marquis are 20 years old. Make sure the A/C and all appliances have been replaced, make sure elevators have been properly serviced, and make sure the reserves are right.

SLS Lux is directly accross the street from an Apple Store, Saks Fifth Ave, ect. and has a Baywalk, Publix, and Metromover all within 2 blocks. Is there a building like that in Park West?

Is it just me or that big space would been better off with something else other than just a single story apple store?

Maybe like a pond with a fountain surrounded by trees similar to Lincoln road.

Or maybe an urban park like Bryant Square park in NYC

Anonymous

There’s an urban park east of this neighborhood called PARK WEST that isn’t utilized.

Sorian

I think the Apple Store there looks great plus there are water features right across from it. This area isn’t finished either, it’s not even half way done so there will be more and more of anything.

Anon

Okay but from the developers perspective I’m sure they would like a tenant actually paying to use the land.

The original plan was a plaza.

Anon

The original plan featured a retail building exactly where the apple store is.

“most sustainable store'”
That’s great and good to hear! incredible to read this news while zipping a 12 $ coffee from Starbucks….having said that, in order to have computers, cells phones and all this technology, in the Republic Popular of Congo and other countries in Africa, children are working 12 hours. shifts and since the age of six or seven , in order to get the precious element named Cobalt needed for the functioning of those computers, under control of Chinese companies. Apple, and other Techs companies refused to be accountable of this tragedy! they said they are third parties on the business of the material for this fancy computers and cells!

Jordan

Can those kids make Metromover extensions cheap?

Yan Jammer

Most financially sustainable, probably due to it being a strong market for superficial iPhone loyalists.

Anonymous

Samsung users acting arrogant are far more obnoxious than any superficial iPhone loyalist could ever be.
