At Echo Brickell, Glass Is Now Being Installed (Photo)

Nearly a year after construction began at Echo Brickell, the first glass is now being installed around the building’s robotic garage.

When completed, the project will include about 180 units in a 57-story tower.

PMG is the developer, while Carlos Ott is the design architect.

Gorgeous building at the entrance of Brickell. Wish we had more of this.

This building is slick and gorgeous. Architecture like this need to stand out at 1000 feet. Carlos Ott needs to design more like this in downtown. Hope PMG develops more like this with Carlos.

Agree. I hope PMG and hopefully Carlos do something similar with their lot of Empire world towers for their upcoming 1000+ tower.

If more buildings were designed and built like this in downtown, none of them would stand out.

Agree with everyone above! Why cant more developers take a page out of PMG’s book? High-Class sophisticated building with first-rate architecture and a truly unique design! This building is a blessing for Miami’s Skyline.

I wish this was still over 700ft tall 🙁 but its still going to be a nice addition to the skyline 🙂

700? How about 1000? That would be nice. You know I sometimes wonder why doesn’t miami incentive developers to build only in downtown and other areas for urbanization and encourage them to build the tallest skyscrapers you can build. Richard Daley did it with Chicago in the 60s and 70s and they did get the Willis towe .

Miami has no problem with developers building at whatever height they want, it’s the FAA that’s the problem.

Looks nice, small pedestal a plus.

Love it.

I’ve read that this building will be 700 and something feet while another puts it at 635. Went on their website and couldn’t find the height. Does anyone know what is the confirmed and official height of this scrap.

What difference does it make? Even at 300FT this would be the sickest building in Miami.

For starters, it increases the score for miami when I comes to its skyscrapers and their specs thus making us come close to take over Toronto and hopefully Chicago in north America. Also, 300 feet? Yes, the building is sick nice, and beautiful but 300 feet? Size does matter buddy. I bet you find the Manhattan skyline more impressive than Vancouver. We all got our taste in urban design but the choic here I obvious.

Close to taking over Toronto and Chicago in what?

300 feet for this type of architecture should be a crime in itself. . .850 feet to 1000 feet is acceptable for a tower of this caliber.

Suspicious how all of the comments for this particular developers buildings are positive?!? Sorry this thing is an eyesore. IMHO

Maybe its because this developer actually cares about the product they develop?

What’s more suspicious is that THIS is what you consider to be an eyesore… the only project outside of maybe 1000 Museum and Grove at Grand Bay to actually feature an innovative, artistic design. Every other project in Brickell is a square or rectangle that without fail relies only on balconies to differentiate its “design.” So Bond, SLS, 1010 Brickell are more to your liking?

I’m a regular guy who lives in Kendall and works at a Publix..nobody special….and apart from the 1000 Museum by Hadid, this is the 2nd tower downtown that is gorgeous to my eyes. But if you prefer ugly towers, there is one being built right behind Bayside.
