Bad Boys for Life, which is set in Miami, is expected to be the top film at the box office this weekend.
The movie is forecast by Box Office Pro to take in over $40 million over the next three days. That is even higher than already lofty expectations by the distributor.
Brickell City Centre plays a role in the film, with scenes being shot outside the complex and a car chase through the mall itself.
The trailer also shows scenes at Island Gardens on Watson Island, and a spectacular Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami view is in a scene filmed at the Bentley Bay at the entrance to South Beach.
The film will be released internationally next week.
Brickell City Centre’s CMX Theater has showings this weekend – so you can watch the movie in the same building where it was shot. It is also being shown at downtown Miami’s Silverspot Cinema. The premier took place on Sunday at the Regal South Beach Theater.
