Balconies Now Visible At 53-Story Miami World Tower: ‘Wave Crests Approaching Shore’

At Miami Worldcenter, the 53-story Miami World Tower is continuing to rise, with balconies now in view, new photos by Kyle Merville show.

The shell of the tower now appears to be at around level 29.

The balconies are designed to appear as wave crests approaching the shore, the developer said in a 2020 submission to the city. The overall effect is that of a building in motion, the developer added.

Miami World Tower 1 is planned to include:

  • 565 apartments
  • 3,000 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 401 parking spaces on levels

Plans submitted to the city show that parking and residential is planned on level 2 through 13, with all residential on the upper levels..

The parking garage is lined with glassy residential units on the eastern façade, and a portion of the northern façade.

The southern façade of the garage is stucco, but a multi-level retail, restaurant and office building is planned in front of it on the 7th Street Promenade.

To the north, another tower is likely on land that is currently used as a staging area.

Nichols is the architect.

This building is super nice. I wish Coaba and Bezel were of similar quality…

At least Coaba has some sort of crown rather than being another box with wavy balconies.

You mean that stucco wall to hide the mechanical? Yeah…”crown”….

Don’t say that the Brickellites will have a heart attack.

Brickell loves the World Center! Miami benefits when it prospers in tandem. Brickell will soon have a new world class spot nearby. Can’t wait for the MWC to open and team up with Brickell.

Yes, a supertall with an observation deck at Miami WC would be awesome.

There is no supertall zoning in MWC (despite what Naftali Group thinks 😉 )

We need the SkyRise to be revived!!

Why do we need a giant toenail clipper for an observation deck?

According to you the Eiffel Tower is just a cell-tower and the Eye of London is just a ferris wheel.

the first phase of World Miami center is very advanced. This tower and caoba 2 should top off in the summer , the jewel box is almost finished and they are already installing the glass on the retail at paramount. they just need to build the other half of the 7th street promenade and everything should be ready to open in the summer of 2024

“Wave crests…” Can you imagine what other “game changing” stuff applicants make up on justification statements in the development review process for these cigarette boxes?

wait did Miami accidentally get gifted a good looking tower? this must be a mistake; I think this one belongs to New York, Chicago or San Fran
