Significant progress has been made recently by David Beckham in his attempt to bring a soccer club to Miami, according to the Daily Mail.
A major announcement is expected by the end of 2016, the website said.
Beckham and his partners don’t want to begin play in a temporary stadium, and the first season looks to be pushed back to 2019.
Negotiations with an investor group are continuing, with Milawaukee Bucks co-owner said to be involved.
Another partner in the project, Tim Leiweke, told the Toronto Sun yesterday that “We’re really, really close,” and that they “may have found someone who feels equally as passionate.”
