Biscayne Beach filed their as-built with the FAA – and the building topped off exactly where engineers predicted.
The structure reached its ultimate height on July 18, at 585 feet above ground. That is the height that had been approved by the agency in 2015.
A topping off ceremony was held in May (decorative and mechanical structures were added later). Warning lights should be installed by the end of September.
Although the building now stands at 585 feet above ground, it is never certain that it will stay there. A condo tower in San Francisco was recently found to have sunk 16 inches and tilted 2 inches since it opened in 2008, with adjacent excavation for another project said to be the primary cause.
