Some Bitcoin Traders Offended By Nudity At E11even

The North American Bitcoin Conference took place in Miami last month, and a networking party at E11even sparked complaints from some attendees.

Some out-of-town visitors (perhaps unused to Miami’s culture) were shocked by what they saw, even though performers kept their tops on until the party ended.

According to Bloomberg, nude performances were halted until the event ended, although waitresses in lingerie served attendees. Some female attendees voiced complaints and said the venue made them feel uncomfortable.

The New York Post called the 20,000 square foot club “notorious,” saying that the event “lifted the lid on the sleazy underbelly of crypto culture.”

” Some female attendees voiced complaints and said the venue made them feel uncomfortable. ”

Probably high ranking members of the American feminazi association and Soccer Moms coalition of America.

Solution: Just leave and let us hedonistic men have a great time. Geez!

So if the tables were turned and the complaints came from men and the event was hosted at a male strip club, would you call them mascunazis?

Dude, I hope your daughter ends up a dancer. I’m no feminist or soccer mom, but F*** that at a business meeting!

Anonymous

And if someone’s daughter ends up a dancer why wouldn’t parents love her any different? She is a dancer, not a prostitute.

If it was a business meeting, than it serves them for doing it at a strip club. Never heard of any such thing.

No one said love and parents.

I just hope the daughter and “hedonistic men have a great time.”

I didn’t write the daughter comment, but lol.

Yes, thats what women do! Women read Next Miami followed by a thrilling episode of Real Housewives.

What shall I cook you for dinner, babe?

Meanwhile most of you fellas can’t even afford to pay bills on your own (i.e. roommates), and half your girls probably make more money than you.

I totally make (and have made) more most ivy-league finance guys who couldn’t make it happen in NY, so came back to Miami. Including some boyfriends who make TRD articles, but don’t make those dollars.

Just sayin’ – I am sure the Bitcoin space was planned by a man and there wasn’t a location vote by all attendees. Obviously by the complaint, people were asked their opinion..

I think the real point is you shouldn’t even be put in a position to make a choice to attend a networking event in a strip club (men or women) in a professional setting.

“I totally make (and have made) more most ivy-league finance guys who couldn’t make it happen in NY,”

Yeah?.. well the way you write shows that you really need to take some of that money and buy yourself an education.

Where are you from? In Miami a dancer and a prostitute are the same thing… You can eff any of them for a few hundreds, inside the stripclub.

We can see you have never been there or talked to one of those girls, dancer=hooker for 95% of them!!!

E11even is one of the few strip clubs that actually doesn’t allow prostitution on site. Act like you’ve been there before, kid.

Anonymous

It’s a club and at best a strip club too. You don’t like the venue, plan your meeting elsewhere and much more carefully
Why should the establishment change it’s nature for a 1 time conference meeting ? Having a conference meeting at a Miami night club is already asking for it. I don’t care which club it is.

“The New York Post called the 20,000 square foot club “notorious,” saying that the event “lifted the lid on the sleazy underbelly of crypto culture.”

With all the sleaziness that makes up New York City the NY Post have the audacity to call some other place “sleazy?”

Like they say in New York… GTFOH!!!

The pot calling the kettle black. lol.
The NY post just wanted to write something. They probably would of said the same thing if this event would of happened in NY.

Ja!
Key Word: NORTH AMERICAN conference. Other cultures are much more open to the notion of nudity and the body as an art.

Usually I am the first person to tell people to get over it, but you know what, it is a new era and maybe it’s not such a bad thing to make things welcoming to all, within limits of course and I think not having a meeting at a quasi strip club is a fair compromise. I love E11even by the way

Seems like a boneheaded decision was made in choosing a strip club for a meeting place.

I was there the night of the bitcoin party. It was a really fun night and tame for E11even standards. Everyone was having a great time.
So one person got offended, and now this news?
What this really is is FAKE NEWS!
Long ….live….E11even!

The conference shouldn’t change, events should cater to their base and not be everything inclusive to cater to two or three people.

You’d be mad to if you were an “over the hill woman” and weren’t getting any attention from these males in this club who were going gaga over all these young tight bodied tenderronies running around with G-strings up their ass.

Anonymous

Agreed and that’s exactly what the issue is with these middle aged soccer mom type women complain about. It’s not the nudeness, it’s because the dancers are young and have tight bodies and something they themselves don’t have. They weren’t getting attention from the men. Pfff.

Anonymous

So why did they go?
I still don’t quite fully understand the mentality of some people in the 21st Century… Perhaps they bathe with their clothes on because it’s not puritanical or decent to show nudity in the bathroom.

Anonymous

Maybe they didn’t know they would meet at a literal strip club?

Anonymous

They could of done their research online and even call the club management.

I think some of them knew and maybe the others were mislead. Who knows.

Anonymous

LOLz…did they not Google this place before?

Who in their right mind would have a conference in a strip club, especially knowing there will be straight female attendees?
I’m so sure the male attendees would have loved if it were hosted at a male strip club and would keep their comments to themselves.

Anonymous

I’d love to know who these uncomfortable people are, having been at the event everyone I saw or talked to was nowhere near uncomfortable, quite the opposite actually. Not to mention there was no nudity during the entire event and that came straight from the club itself, so anyone who saw it was there by choice after the event ended…

Anonymous

I get why women attendees might be offended.
If you’re male, think how you’d feel if there were muscle guys in thongs dancing and serving drinks.

Anonymous

It wouldn’t bother me because I would have the power to “” leave!!! “” and let those that enjoy that type of venue simply enjoy themselves. And if I can’t leave, I make the best of it. It’s 1 night, not a life sentence. Geez!.

Anonymous

Yes, you could leave and then be deprived of participating in what is supposed to be a business/networking session.
Would you feel the same way if it were your sister, mother, wife or girlfriend who had to make that choice?

Anonymous

Would you go to a meeting at a Strip Club and not expect to see naked women working there?

Anonymous

The point is that they chose a strip club in the first place

Anonymous

I’m just saying having a meeting at a strip club was a bad idea.
Ask the women in your life how they would feel about it.

Anonymous

It’s not like the women jumped on their laps and launched a full breast smudge attack on their faces. That would be a legitimate complaint. Nude performances were halted until the “event ended” and drinks were served in lingerie(clothed). I agree with the above commenter. It’s a show and no contact. Make the best of it for 1 night. I would of told the women in my family the same.

Anonymous

Yea I would have to agree. I don’t know where they’re from or what background, but I know many women that are not this uptight. Including ones in my family across the generation spectrum. From Baby booms, Gen Xs and even the millennials.

Anonymous

Good point, many women these days would not be offended.
However, there are a lot these days who still would be.
Granted, most of the participants were male, but likely because guys are more likely to be enticed into “investing” in a scam like Bitcoin.
Also, if there are any women reading this thread it would be great to hear from you. Otherwise, this is just a sausage-site, and we’re not hearing from those most directly affected.

Anonymous

PS I’m not against the club itself. I’m pro-nightlife, and the edgier the better.
I’m just saying there were many better venues to choose from for an “official” function.
Any and every body that wants to go there after, have fun!

Anonymous

The majority of the conference are males, you soyboys keep trying to be inclusive.

Anonymous

You say “inclusive” like it’s a bad thing.
Just encouraging you to try putting yourself in someone else’s place, it only takes a few minutes.

Anonymous

I wouldn’t go to a place where I feel like I don’t belong. Yet SJW’s want “safe spaces” where they control and make the rules. The people your trying to be inclusive for aren’t being inclusive themselves.

Anonymous

Like if women don’t go to female strip clubs. Many do with their boyfriends and at the woman’s request and her planning it.

Only in Miami.
