Brickell Building Demolished In Just Two Months To Make Way For St. Regis

Demolition of a building on the Brickell site where the 50-story St. Regis Residences is planned is substantially complete, photos by The BG Group show.

Developers Related Group and Integra Investments recently closed on $527 million in financing to build the luxury tower.

Previously, a 17-story building with 272 affordable senior units was on the site.

More than 60% of the 152 condos planned in the new tower are now in contract.

Robert A.M. Stern Architects is designing the new building.

The old rectangular buildings are being demolished to make way for nicer and taller buildings.I think this will increase when the new condo law takes into effect in January 2025

Nope.
The number of condo Terminations won’t increase any more than the market as a whole.

The real estate “experts” who podcast are not in touch with how condominiums operate their individual budgets.

so cheaper old buildings with killer assessments and HOA fees will be replaced by expensive buildings with minimal assessments and killer HOA fees

Half the housing but probably four times the jobs as the cheap senior tower.

The Santa Maria will feel like a wall and unfortunately block a lot of the skyline view for a lot of the units in this beautiful building.

No it wont.

No actually this building will block much of the Santa Maria’s south east water views especially those corner units. The building is set much closer to the waters edge and is round it will have amazing views and taller than the Santa Maria also
