Brickell Flatiron Developers Plan Second Tower Next To SLS Lux (Updated)

CMC Real Estate president Ugo Colombo and Vladislav Doronin, who recently launched sales at Brickell Flatiron, are set to announce a second residential tower directly across from Brickell City Centre according to broker Sarah Elles Boggs.

Colombo and Doronin’s new tower will be located on the property where Renzo Renzi once planned to build The Beacon at Brickell Village. The pair bought the property in bankruptcy court last summer, and expanded the property’s footprint last week by 7,796 square feet with a $7 million buy of the neighboring Chicken Kitchen property.

A lawsuit alleging that Oleg Baybakov was involved in the property was dismissed earlier this year, and a Baybakov representative told TRD that he does not have a stake in the property.

Update: According to CMC Real Estate president Vanessa Grout, ‘The site is in the initial planning stages and the discussion around what we plan to build has not taken place.’
