Brickell Flatiron Releases Video Of A Fully Finished Unit (Not A Rendering)

Developer CMC Group has released a video showcasing a fully finished condo inside the under-construction 64-story Brickell Flatiron tower.

Flatiron will feature materials and finishes hand-picked by Milan-born developer Ugo Colombo from his native Italy. Colombo is flying in Italian craftsman to lay porcelain tile, and importing everything from hardwood doors, marble baths, and terracotta cabinetry from his home country.

Interior design is by Italian architect, designer and creator Massimo Iosa Ghini of Ferrari and David Bowie fame.

More than 85 percent of units have now been sold, including a penthouse recently sold for $13.2 million. Today, more than 80 percent of buyers are local and domestic, compared to 70 percent from Latin America at this time a year ago.

Top off is set for mid-December, and residents will begin moving in mid-2019.

This completely blows any of the current-gen Related buildings out of the water. i’d rather take an inferior view in this building than great view in something like SLS or Paraiso.

I rather have a better view and buy the kitchen and bath appliances later !
Views is the most important in all those ant colonies popping in Brickell ?

Boooo. Better going for the view like Marina Blue or something and then you can always upgrade your kitchen. Can’t change the view tho…

Anonymous

That is how it should be done.

What a gem. Related should take notes!

Looks really nice! Impressed!!

IMHO

Pro’s: Hidden door hinge hardware (wow), Solid wood doors, high end plumbing fixtures, separate toilet room in master Great porcelain and cabinetry, Good lighting in common areas, Scale and size of spaces look appropriate, Kitchen hood looks nice

Cons: No Linear diffusers on the supply vents, W/D’s appear to be the units that recirculate the heat instead of exhausting outside, the drain in the master looks odd (should at least be square to match the rest).

Anonymous

A square drain sounds weird. Also, I’d expect a bidet or Washlet.

Finishes are very nice. But floor plans leave much to be desired (no 90 degree angles, small foot print). No views at all (worse rather beccause looking into 1010 units and they are looking at you). unless very very high up. Still overpriced for the sq. ft. that you are getting.

I agree. I rather move into a building with a view perhaps in Park West (which will be better then Brickell soon). It’s also cheaper to buy (for now) and with the money you save you put even a better kitchen in there. No brainer.

I live at Marina Blue and I get city and water view, I paid my unit probably half the price and my layout is waaaay better. I updated my unit with Cesar kitchen, Miele appliances and Porcelanosa bathroom, so this didn’t impress me.

It’s Ugo Colombo. Expect the best.

Basic…looks no different than most other basic buildings in Brickell. No thanks…other more impressive place!
