Burger King Across From Brickell City Centre Renovated

A Burger King located in a strip mall across from Brickell City Centre has been renovated.

Redevelopment has previously been proposed for the property, which is in a prime location.

In 2017, Miami’s Planning & Zoning Department granted approval for a 78-story tower on the site called 18, designed by architect Nichols.

The plan included 392 residential units with four levels of retail at the base.

In 2016, 2019, and 2023, the FAA granted height approval for a proposed tower (approvals expire after several years).

The FAA approval is for a tower height of 954 feet above ground or 950 feet above sea level

BK Condos would rival Aston Martin and Baccarat.

Instead of renovating, they should’ve just demolished this

If they’re gonna keep it there at least build a 600 footer on top of it and leave it at ground level.

I thought they were building something new here. Why would it be renovated?

I like the mix of high-rises and the very occasional oddball property like this one. I am glad it was renovated and there are some avg. priced stuff around. But, I wouldn’t mind if it eventually gets razed and replaced with a more dense development. Enjoy the change!

It is not an ideal use of space. But I have to admit that it has been packed since the renovation. and since the ordering is self-service they have cut staffing in half.

Now remove the Wendy’s and McDonalds.

Renovation doesn’t necessarily mean it will stay indefinitely. I see strip malls with new built-out tenants (like another Orange Theory Fitness) torn down within a few years.

Where’ve you been? This renovation was done a few weeks ago.

This and the nondescript low-rises between U.S. 41 along 1st Avenue and abutting BCC needed to go… like yesterday.

There’s way too much tacky restaurants with no mystery and over priced posers, can we get some high end reasonably priced cool spots like NYc

Renovated Brickell BK joins the very recently totally renovated Allapattah BK (1309 NW 20 St)! Miami winning!

The blessings of good food that this Burger King has provided over the years reminds me of the sermon I had today discussing Luke 10:2 which says, “And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” So in application, Burger King can supply a lot of food with only a few laborers but in order to make sure that everybody is fed properly, the proper amount of employees must be employed to distribute the “harvest”. May all of us keep praying for Burger King, Miami and America as we continue to see the hand of God now that his servant guides us through wickedness and cleans the cancer from our country!

I am not in 100% agreement with your interpretation of scripture but I can also say we are seeing America turn towards God in the last few months. I just hope we change our education system to a Bible based system so our children can continue to receive the benefits of the Holy Ghost.

Not quite it was at 30th ave on 36th street and it’s gone, so the 27th ave is the closest one to it.

Both the SLS Lux and 1000 Museum Park were both built on sites that were once gas stations.

If the development in the renderings above and the seller of that land had a realistic price, that corner would have been developed 15 years ago. They are not motivated or realistic sellers.
