Canadian Fund Buys Stake In 300 Biscayne, Set To Become Miami’s Tallest Tower

Canada’s Greybrook Realty Partners paid $37,370,000 for an equity stake in 300 Biscayne, which was approved last week to become Miami’s tallest tower at 1,049 feet.

Greybrook bought the undisclosed stake from PMG, and the two are said to be looking to partner on other deals.

 

Greybrook Invests USD $37,370,000 in Partnership with Property Markets Group to Develop Tallest Ultra-Luxury Residential Condominium in Miami, Florida

Greybrook Securities Inc. and Greybrook Realty Partners Inc. are pleased to announce the successful deployment of USD $37,370,000 in equity capital to develop an ultra-luxury residential condominium located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, in the heart of Miami, Florida. Greybrook Realty Partners has partnered with Property Markets Group (PMG) to build the tallest tower in Miami.

Located directly across from Bayfront Park, the site is one of the last infill parcels in the downtown Miami area featuring unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Miami was recently ranked the sixth most important city in the world to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, second only to New York in North America. Furthermore, Florida is projected to realize the largest population growth of any state in the United States, increasing by over 12 million people by 2030 according to the US Census Bureau.

I have a very good feeling this is going to be ground breaking beautiful of the likes of Echo and Muse sunny isles. The article says that the two developers are going to team up for more future projects. . .Make them tall and dense it up baby!!!…

But those two projects are specifically NOT dense. They are tall and physically large but are ultra lux with low unit numbers and unlikely to even have renters, let alone full-time residents. Not bashing the idea of having a few of those projects, but to call that “dense” just because it’s taller is a fallacy. They do however bring money (to somebody) and generate some basic jobs like maintenance, construction, and management. Also being over 1,000 feet especially right downtown will attract some amount of attention, but that is hard to quantify.

I wasn’t refering to height in density or right now…I meant in the ‘future” when our skyscrapers start filling the areas from now to yearssss coming. Sorry if it wasn’t clear.
