Canvas Miami will begin construction in mid-December, according to Curbed, but it isn’t the first time that the developer has made such a statement.
Last February, the developers had said that they would break ground in July after making a $4.85 million impact fee payment. No work has started at the site.
In April, the developers had claimed that they had reservations for 39% of the proposed 513 units, and had obtained a $75 million construction loan, even before converting reservations into contracts. No loan has been recorded in county records.
The developers are now saying that completion is scheduled for 2017.
