Car-Less Centro Nearly Topped Off With 90% Of Units Sold

Centro, the downtown Miami condo project being built without any parking, is now 90% sold.

The project is also just weeks away from topping off. As the project nears completion, the developer has modified the payment structure for new buyers, while still requiring a 50% deposit.

The project is being developed by Newgard Development. Sieger Suarez is the architect, and Plaza Construction is the contractor.

Good for them! We were not able to sell one unit. Every single client we had turned away as soon as they found out it had no parking.

Where are all the naysayers now who adamantly said this building could not sell with no parking?

I am right here, these were inventors not real residents that bought the building, you will see the rental market explode in here and people will rent them like they do the Lofts doesnt mean they were good business decision.

I’ll assume you mean’t investors and not “inventors.”

I’m having trouble understanding your premise. Renting out condo units is not some recent phenomenon, it’s been going on for quite some time now, so why would it be a good business decision for an investor to do it in another building, but not this one?

This is beautiful. We need more buildings like this with no parking.

Would be great if there was better mass transit options to accompany this building

Explain to me please how accurate the 90% figure can be verified.

Looks so much nicer not being on top of a podium or with an attached garage.

it is true. the fact that there is no podium makes the building look slender and creates and seems to create a nice space for pedestrian interaction.

Will have beautiful views when they develop that lot next to it.

What views does it have now? This development isn’t about views and do you think the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts next door will get demo’d and developed?
