Carnival Cruise Line Opens New Terminal F At PortMiami

Carnival Cruise lines held an opening ceremony this week for its $195 expansion and renovation of Terminal F at PortMiami.

The cruise line’s new ship Carnival Celebration was also unveiled at the event.

Carnival Celebration is an excel class ship that will be based from Terminal F, capable of accommodating more than 5,200 guests

The ship has a Miami-themed zone, 820 Biscayne, named after Carnival’s first headquarters address and designed as a tribute to Miami’s cultural vibe and its dining and beverage offerings.

Carnival Celebration is also the second ship in the Carnival fleet, and the first to homeport in Miami, with a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) propulsion system.

The new terminal will also have shore power.

Adding Carnival Celebration at Terminal F, now five of Carnival’s 24-ship fleet are homeported in Miami. Going forward, Carnival expects to embark more than 20,000 guests per week from PortMiami.

Of course the walmart of cruise lines value engineered this terminal so badly that it still looks like one from the 80s/90s that it was intended to replace, what a joke

Is it just me or are those lights a bit too much? It is about time for Carnival to enter the Terminal game, but I think that thy could’ve probably spent more time designing that thing.

It looks nothing like the renderings from outside. Inside it is pretty basic looking.

carnival is horribly cheap even if you get a balcony room, you get this gargantuan chunk of plastic for a vanity in the bathroom…. walmart shoppers rejoice

Carnival made their bones putting administrative assistants and auto mechanics on the waves. They made cruises, once the domain of the chardonnay set, available to Joe and Jenny Sixpack. They are the Spirit Air of the Seas.

“The ship has a Miami-themed zone, 820 Biscayne, named after Carnival’s first headquarters address and designed as a tribute to Miami’s cultural vibe and its dining and beverage offerings.” Now headquartered in Doral…

Virgins’s ships is in needs of a shore power asap. Have you seen the smoke that comes out from their ship when is docked at the terminal? I’m surprised that the residents of the buildings on Biscayne right in from of the arena that are hit with that nasty smoke exhaust are not protesting.

Congratulations. Do something about the traffic jam when arrives the cruise. Our port looks like 3rd world country when cars try to approach the bridge. Or build a mover loop to downtown.

How about a new airport? We should demolish the crumbling dated one we have and replace it with something more like JFK or the airy open airports in Madrid and Istanbul.

Can we all protest the new Virgin Port? It’s a huge eyesore and it looks like a construction zone with those ugly lighting.

It is hideous and will age poorly.

Agree ,both Virgin and Carnival terminals look like cheep crap.
There should be some architectural criteria demanded by the county that would prevent this from happening. Someone asleep behind the wheel. What’s new.
