CCCC Towers Could Still Be Built, A Partner Says

Brickell’s CCCC Towers could be completed within five years, according to American Da Tang Investment Group CEO Shanjie Li, who was involved in the deal, in an interview with the SFBJ.

The $875 million mixed-use project would include condos, hotel, office and retail.

Last year, developer China City Construction was said to be in financial difficulty and defaulting on debt.

Li also said that he has met with executives of Chinese airlines with the goal of getting a nonstop flight from Miami to China. Airlines are concerned about a lack of demand, Li said, but he thinks that a potential revenue shortfall could be made up by selling ads in in-flight magazines.

At the same time, Li has other ideas to increase the presence of Chinese in Miami. He is working to film a movie about Chinese businessmen in Miami, and also wants to build a “Chinatown” along South Miami Avenue within three years.

Give it a little action genre component to it and involve Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan to produce/direct.

I could not be happier, my grandmother on my mother’s side was from Shanghai, I love Asian food and culture, and I live right by this empty lot. Please make it happen!

Yessss. Especially with Donnie Yen. He has been on a hot streak for 2 decades already and still going strong!

Loved his character on Star Wars: Rogue One. and his fight scene.

I was wondering a few weeks ago whatever happened to this project by CCCC. This is nice. I hope they get it done.

” and also wants to build a “Chinatown” along South Miami Avenue within three years ”

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Hopefully celebrate the Chinese new year with street festivities, fire crackers, dancing dragons and such. Bring more flavors to downtown.

This is a great location. Gyu Kaku is just a block away and most Asian people go there all the time, me included. New Year is this Friday having a Chinatown in Miami would be amazing!

A cool looking Buddhist temple, lots of stores selling qualitative rare Asian products and materials, great food as mentioned here already and also have International Wushu and martial arts tournaments as well.
