The city of Miami is looking to reactivate Fort Dallas Park and the adjacent riverwalk with a new restaurant.
A request for letters in interest was advertised in January, a city official told the Miami River Commission’s Urban Infill and Greenways Subcommittee last week. Bids are due by April 18.
The property includes a pair of modern buildings, which once houses the former Bijan’s restaurant, along with a historic cottage that dates back to the 1890s.
The restaurant would occupy a 4,800-square-foot building. It would be a short term lease that would not require a voter referendum or state approval.
