Cladding Installed At Gateway At Wynwood, Where Barry’s Is Considering Opening HQ Office

Contractors have installed garage cladding depicting a vibrant mural at the Gateway At Wynwood office building, where construction is nearly complete.

The development was recently toured by executives from Barry’s (formerly known as Barry’s Bootcamp), according to Commercial Observer. The company is relocating its headquarters to Miami and is searching for 10,000 square feet of office space.

Biotech company Veru Inc. has already signed an eight-year, 12,155-square-foot lease in the building for its global headquarters.

The Gateway at Wynwood includes about 195,000 square feet of leasable Class A office space and nearly 25,900 square feet of ground floor retail space on the border of Wynwood and Midtown.

There are also 574 parking spaces.

Architect Kobi Karp designed the 12-story project.

R&B Realty Group is the developer.

They need to configure this intersection with traffic lights with turn signals.

“They” need to build transit (yesterday) and reduce the number of cars, and car lanes.

“You” need to get real.

They need to eliminate streets and cars altogether and go back to horses.

lol…

We need to eliminate all these mouth breathing breeders with babies on each hip. I love watching the world collapse right here from my throne

In our garage city there is no space for mass transit. Garage, garage and more garages. We are pioneers.

They aren’t going to reduce the number of cars, y’all anti-car people are unrealistic, no wonder most of y’all support communism

That intersection sucks

Anonymous

Okay folks, you heard that.. if they just improve that intersection, then Miami would be a perfect city.

And we got Mr straw man here

I’m surprised the developer did not opt to burry the power lines here. It would’ve made the project much more attractive from the street.

They don’t want to pay the money to have it don this has been a HUGE conversation, as forth who should pay for it. Th Wynwood BID or (what ever Wynwood community group) tried to have Mana pay fr i when he gets presented his development plans. But so many projects has been built since. We need a update on this subject.

Wtf?..

Dude, proof read that shit before you post.

Anonymous

Or, better yet, have your niece or nephew proofread before you post.

Anonymous

Well there’s the problem, expecting Mana to actually pay for or do anything.

I am noticing a lot of new developments that has not been doing this. I wonder why

Anonymous

I agree, it’s such a minor yet loud detail of the neighborhood. I have no idea why a development this beautiful/expensive would go up without the thought of burying the lines especially when new roads and landscaping are installed.

I think there is a larger Wynwood streetscape plan that is in the works – the designs have been displayed on this site – I’m not sure at what stage that is in though or if its even happening

Only thing I’ve heard of are the woofers but that has nothing o do with the powerlines

Anonymous

Because it was expensive af and the infrastructure requires lines to be buried almost a block or 2 beyond the site. Makes no economical sense for a developer who knows the city (taxes) will eventually bury lines themselves anyways

Gorgeous building

Wonder why they didn’t use more glass. The ribbon glass looks cool from outside but small from inside?

No. They’re 5’8” higher. The windows are right at desk height and the bay windows can be an extension of your desk with panoramic Miami views

This is a great project in a perfect location, with mono rail coming in a few years and the constant development of mid town and Wynwood this will be a success! Plus I like the design looks like the renderings

Bravo

Many can make a nice rendering. Very few can recreate it from 3D. To CD to built.

Looking good. Bike lanes please! Many workers would like to safely bike/scooter to the office!

“Many workers would like to safely bike/scooter”

And many crazyass drivers in this city will look at them as targets.

With their man buns and helmets, they will have plenty of cranium cushioning.

Anonymous

Yeah, put the bikes on the sidewalks and let them run over people.

Demand for office space is higher in Wynwood than MWC – who woulda thunk.

The whole area need to bury the power lines

WDRC sucks

This building looks like crap! Like something out of the 80s… Then they use straight glass panels at the curves, if you can’t afford curved glass then don’t do curves. Another bad one for Wynwood, good job WDRC!

You need Jesus in your life. In the meantime, hire yourself a real architect and you might get your project approved next time.
