CMX Theater At Brickell City Centre Hosts Employees Ahead Of Opening

The long awaited CMX theater at Brickell City Centre could be a step closer to opening.

Last Wednesday, the theater appeared to be hosting new workers, with potential new cinema employees lining up in front of “now hiring” signs.

Mall employees still are unsure of an exact opening date.

When it opens, the theater is supposed to include 517 seats in 10 viewing rooms, spread over 47,000 square feet. CMX is owned by Mexico’s Cinemex.

Update: The opening has been pushed back to an unknown date in 2017.

This was an employee of CMX, not some random person. I would trust them over an employee

I guess you were wrong to trust them.

any idea on ticket prices? If sub $15 I’ll do it. If not, I can wait for the new Met cinema next year.

I don’t know but my understanding is that it’s a restaurant-theater ala Cinebistro… Tickets + food for two persons is +$100 in Cinebistro

Movies

I heard tickets would be in the $20 range. Food is extra. So, the Cinebistro comparison is probably accurate.

Mid April I heard, but In all reality they also said last year in December. So it’s safe to say mid Oct just before Halloween haha
