A sign for Development Service Solutions was recently placed at the 1836 Biscayne site, where an apartment and retail project have been approved in and above a historic church.
Construction permits have note been filed.
Retail space in the project is still listed as available on Loopnet and the broker’s website.
What’s the significance of this?
I live 1 block from this lot… That side of Biscayne needs all the help it can get
Biscayne Blvd. getting some retail along with luxury apartments. Badly needed density.

The architecture is still atrocious, full of blank walls and cluttered strips of windows. Only in Miami would somebody build a parking garage atop a historic church, and maybe Detroit.
Agreed. Really, truly horrific. Has the potential to be worse than that thing they put over the historic fragment on 25th. Architectural horror show.
