Construction Continues At 36-Story 2000 Biscayne, Shell At Level 27

Construction is continuing at the 2000 Biscayne apartment tower in Edgewater.

As of today, shell contractors appear to have reached level 27.

2000 Biscayne is planned to top off at 36 stories, or 408 feet above ground.

The tower will include 393 rental apartments, 455 parking spaces, and 4,569 square feet of retail.

Kushner Companies is the developer.

Things needed for Edgewater:
1) pedestrian bridges over the tracks to Wynwood
2) Tram to loop Wynwood, midtown and Edgewater together with Omni station
3) More office space and bars/restaurant

The Miami Trolley Wynwood route connects Midtown/Wynwood to the Omni Station. The Biscayne Route also goes to Omi Station and connects Edgewater/Midtown.

Edgewater also needs one continuous baywalk and bayside bike path.

100%. Even if it requires reclaiming like 10ft of the bay. It’s not that deep!

It floods anyway they need a sea wall and it can be built out to be a walkway! Edgwater needs a lot of work.

Development like this in the area between Midtown Edgewater and Wynwood will help link the areas together, and hopefully help revitalize it. Out with the strip malls!

It’s amazing that Biscayne Blvd from 17th to 20th Street will have over ten new buildings (I counted twelve).

The metromover is long overdue.. It suppose to reach the Design district and beyond, but #becasueMiami.. It may not even happen.. What a shame.. Stop supporting these useless trolleys.. Just more congestion..and absolutely unpredictable service..

I think the redesign that the PTM developers did here is amazing. This was going to be a terrible looking building when it first got submitted to the City. Does anyone remember that? They also are building the site next door.
